Perfect timing! In this post, I will reveal the top ten cities for real estate agents.
Check out the top ten worst cities for real estate agents.
Here is a list of the Top Ten Cities for Real Estate Agents:
Las Vegas, Nevada: Vegas is known for hotels, big lights, great shows, good food and now real estate. Ranked #1 for real estate agents, Vegas saw its housing prices shoot up 24% from 2013 to 2014. Vegas’ ranking comes from the housing market being extremely hot and having a high turnover rate. Their turnover rate is circling around 10%.
Median salary is $51,910
Reno, Nevada: Reno comes in ranked second behind its next-door neighbor, Las Vegas. Reno saw a 7.2% turnover rate and a 17% increase in housing price. Not quite the boom that Vegas displays, but a positive note is that median salary for Reno real estate agents is higher.
Median salary is $58,220
Rockford, Illinois: This might be a little bit of surprise because out of the top ten, this was the only market that saw a decrease in housing prices. Prices dropped -9%. Its turnover rate was 4.4%. The hidden jewel is that there is very little competition. There are more homes sold per agent than anywhere else in the U.S. And the agent’s salary is $10,000 more than the national average.
Median salary is $59,170
Eugene, Oregon: Almost identical characteristics as Rockford with the exception of a 10% increase in home prices. Just like Rockford, Eugene has very little competition and an average salary that exceed the national average.
Median salary is $59,820
Naples, Florida: Naples saw a 27% increase in housing prices with an 8.6% turnover rate. Their 27% increase is the highest among the top ten. I was a little shock at their average income for agents, with Naples being one of the wealthiest cities in the country.
Median salary is $39, 940
Sacramento, California: The turnover rate of 5.3% is nothing to get too excited about but the 22% price increase is. Also, the fact that their agents make significantly more than the national average.
Median salary is $63,820
San Jose, California: Once again, a significantly higher salary than the national average will get you a nice ranking. With a low turnover rate of 4.4% and a housing increase of 15% will help also.
Median salary is $69,890
Denver, Colorado: Mile High City agents make a wholesome salary that is well above the national average. This city also boasts a healthy 7% turnover rate and 10% price increase.
Median salary is $66, 760
Chicago, Illinois: The Windy City rode a nice gust of an 11% increase in prices which also caused agent’s salary to soar to one of the top salaries in the country. Their turnover rate is at 4.6%
Median salary is $82, 640
New York, New York: “The Real Estate Mecca” in the U.S. Its no secret that New York real estate is super expensive and everybody wants a piece of the Big Apple. The 6% price increase (and it will continue to increase every year) is reason why New York agents are some of the best paid in the country. They have a 4.0% turnover rate as well.
Median salary is $90,150
I hope the you enjoy reading this article as much as I enjoyed writing it. It was very interesting to find out some of these facts. And not to mention it made me fell pretty good that the city I represent, Chicago, was in the top ten! Go Chi-town!!
