One of the main goals of CorneliusCamp.com is to allow real estate agents to connect with each other, network, and learn from other people’s success stories. In today’s interview, I am excited to be interviewing Annette Anthony.
Annette Anthony is a national speaker, trainer, educator, and mentor. She engages EXIT brokers and agents in the effective use of technology to become more productive.
Her passion is implementation- ensuring associates engage with tools proprietary to EXIT Realty, social media and emerging technologies. EXIT Realty believes that the agents are the assets of the Corporation and invests in their success every day- which is why Annette Anthony was appointed as VP of Technology Engagement in 2014.
Interview With Annette Anthony
1.Please tell us about yourself and how you got into real estate as a career?
I was first exposed to real estate while working as a Business Development Manager for a small Title company in the late 90’s. It was then that I discovered how much I love working with real estate agents to help them grow their business using technology to help then engage better with leads and clients.
2. What do you like the most about your brokerage?
EXIT Realty Corp., International is the first of its kind who truly puts the agent first with our unique model.
3. How do you use social media to leverage your business?
I use social media to engage with people- I look to discover what they are most excited or passionate about and I acknowledge them. It helps me keep a pulse on what people are doing, what they are celebrating and what they are experiencing.
4. What is your greatest avenue for lead generation?
Having lots of conversations is my greatest avenue for lead generation. It’s not tools, it’s not drip campaigns. It’s reminding people how I can help people so when they run into someone I can serve- they know exactly how to reach me and how I can help.
5. Can you give us three tools, services, or apps that are pivotal to your business?
EXIT Promo Shop’s contact management system, EXIT’s Mobile Business Cards and Social Media.
6. Who is someone that you consider a mentor in real estate and why?
Tami Bonnell, CEO EXIT Realty Corp., International. She knows my family by name and asks about them. She constantly shares books to help me be a better leader and she always gives me great advice. She is the recipient of numerous national industry and leadership awards.
7. What advice would you give to someone that is just getting started in real estate?
Keep excellent record of the people you know. Complete contact information, notes, reminders and connection on social is key. Treat buyers and sellers like people- not LEADS. Think REALTIONAL-not TRANSACTIONAL.
8. What is next for you?
I’m looking to build a team of passionate people like myself made up of our own associates who can multiply what I do across our country.
